290,000 Kiwanians in more than 80 nations dedicated to serving
children and others in need. The Kiwanis theme is Serving
the Children of the World, starting with our own communities.
Kiwanis Programs are designed to address local needs in Community
Services, Human and Spiritual Values, Youth Services, Young Children
Priority One, addressing the needs of young children from
prenatal through age 5, and the Kiwanis sponsored youth leadership
programs available at the high school, middle school, and elementary
school levels. Kiwanians are also making a difference for young people through the Kiwanis Family Sponsored Youth Program. Some 300,000 young people are working in concert with the over 8500 Kiwanis clubs through K-Kids in elementary school, Builders Club in middle school, Key Club in high school, and Circle K in colleges and universities. This Kiwanis Family Program makes up the world's largest organization of youth. Working through the schools, these sponsored youth programs could be immediately organized in Cadiz/Trigg County once the new Kiwanis Club is chartered. Kiwanis is for individuals desiring personal involvement in the leadership and improvement of their communities with the welfare of youth as a top priority. Jim Mustian, businessman and Kiwanian, is leading the organization effort. The Hopkinsville Kiwanis Club is sponsoring the new club.
