The list below represents some Kiwanis items that your club
will need. It is recommended that your Lt. Governor collect money
from each Kiwanis Club in the Division to purchase these start-up
items. This approach recognizes that all Division Clubs participated
in the organization of the new club. Sometimes, the sponsoring
club will want to provide certain items which is a wonderful outreach.
Please be prepared to order these items when the money is provided.
You should have a copy of the Kiwanis Supplies Catalog from which
this information was pulled. I have talked with Valerie in Kiwanis

Banner 10240 Club Banner Complete $112.00
Note: The banner carries the name: Kiwanis Club at the top and Trigg County at the bottom unless the club decides on another name. You will need to fax them the spelling of the club name adopted for the bylaws to ensure the spelling is correct. Their fax number is 1-800-825-8289. Lectern 18100 Folding Tabletop Lectern $ 110.00
Note: This items breaks down to 3 or 4 pieces to aid in transporting.
Gong 13820 Gong with base and top $ 83.50
Note: The gong should be engraved with some short statement that you would like to go on it. The cost is 20 cents per letter. You may be able to get a better engraving deal locally.
Gavel & Band 13780 Gavel and Band $ 13.50
Note: This gavel is presented to the President for his or her use and keep. It should be engraved with something like: "President Lowell Headrick, Charter President, May 15, 2002 to September 30, 2002." Engraving will cost 20 cents per letter. I expect you will be able to get a better engraving deal locally, however.

Kiwanis Road Sign 15232 Single Face (30") $ 34.50
Note: This is a sign that should be installed on the side of a main road near the town boundary to indicate that Kiwanis is in Cadiz. Counties and cities sometimes erect a nice structure on which signs are installed for the clubs functioning in the county. It is normal to place the sign at the boundary of the county or city on all main roads depending upon the service area. The more signs you have installed, the more people will notice. I expect the county or city will approve the installations and hopefully construct the structure.
Meeting Place Sign 15234 Single Face (8"x24") $ 33.00
Note: This sign is placed underneath the road sign. It gives the location, day, and time of the Kiwanis meeting.

Brief Bag 13455 Simulated Leather $ 39.50
Note: This carrying bag is a must for both the President and Secretary. It will hold a lot of material and has a number of compartments and pockets. You may have seen the one that I have. It is great.
If you do not have enough money from the gifts, I strongly suggest that the board approve the purchase of this item for both of you.

Meeting Place Placard Wall Sign $ 63.00
Note: This sign is placed in the facility where the club meets. It is good for the facility and for your club. It is displayed in the facility lobby or some other prominent place. It will indicate that the Trigg County Kiwanis Club meets there on the day and time shown. The engraving is included for this item as I understand it.
