Kiwanians attended the 2008 Kentucky-Tennessee Mid-year conference on February 22-23, 2008 at the Doubletree Guest Suites Lexington, 2601 Richmond Road, Lexington, KY 40509.

Kentucky-Tennessee Governor David Y. Olinger observed that "the Mid-Year conference was a tremendous success with over 180 participants. In addition to our distinguished KY-TN Kiwanians and spouses, we were honored to have Kiwanis International President Dave Curry and Eva join us for the entire weekend, including the 5K Walk on Saturday afternoon. Also, our Kiwanis International Trustee, Webster James, the Circle K International Trustee, Alan Penn and Jeri, and the Ohio District Governor, Leroy Martin and Marge were in attendance."

President Dave Curry gave a moving message at the Mid-Year Banquet on Friday evening challenging us to share our Kiwanis story with others and to continue to provide the services needed in our communities.

The entertainment at the Mid-Year Banquet on Friday night was provided by the Uniqueness Unlimited Modeling Troupe. Photos of the models, including K-T Governor David and First Lady Betty's daughter and fellow Kiwanian, Joslyn, was one of the models.

On Saturday, Jan Larson provided a great CLE training for over 20 club presidents and secretaries.

Pertinent roundtables and general session reports were provided on Saturday. Awards were made to individuals and clubs for their outstanding performance on Saturday. A report on the First Lady's "Reading for Diversity" project was made on Saturday with patches being awarded to several clubs that have reported projects in their clubs. Additional patches will be awarded at the District meeting in Kingsport.
