Division 9 Key Club
Members Hold Rally
Jessica Amburgey, Key Club Lt. Gov. Division
9 called a Rally for Key Club Members in Division 9. The rally,
located in Mt. Sterling was attended by the Estill County and
Montgomery County Key Club members. At the meeting Jessica announced
her candidacy for Governor of the K-T District Key Clubs. She

Marianne Weldon, wife of Mt. Sterling Kiwanis
Club President James Weldon and Marion County teacher,
was the keynoter of the rally. Her theme was selecting good role
models and being good role models to others.
Alex Skees, a freshman and active member of
the Montgomery County High School Key Club was selected at the
Outstanding Key Club Member for Division 9. She was nominated
by her club and then experienced an extensive interview by the
James Weldon, President of the Kiwanis Club of Mt. Sterling
and two other members of the Kiwanis Club of Mt. Sterling. Also
participating in the interview was Dr. Glen Kleine, Lt.
Governor of Division 9 of the Kentucky-Tennessee District of Kiwanis
International.
The Montgomery County High School Key Club had the
largest delegation in attendance at the rally. Participating were
(first row l. to r.) Andrew Easterling, Cecilia Reyna, Alex
Kees, Jami Setters, Angela Larison, and Courtney Jo Chambers.
Also participating in the were (back row l. to r.) Mima Johnson,
governor of the K-T Key Clubs, Dustin Brown, Key Club Lt.
Gov. Divisions 10-11, and Jessica Amburgey, Key Club Lt.
Gov. Division 9.
Also in attendance at the rally were representatives
from the Estill County High School Key Club. Participating were
(first row l. to r.) Vanessa Riddell, Key Club Lt. Gov.
Elect Division 9, Samantha Minyard, and Chad Centers,
President of the Estill County High School Key Club. Also participating
in the were (back row l. to r.) Dustin Brown, Key Club
Lt. Gov. Divisions 10-11 and a member of the Franklin County High
School Key Club, and Jessica Amburgey, Key Club Lt. Gov.
Division 9, Mima Johnson, governor of the K-T Key Clubs.
At the rally Vanessa Riddell, a key club member
from Estill County High School was elected Key Club Lt. Gov. for
Division 9 for the next academic year. She may be reached at:

Dr. Eugene Harrell, brought his long experience
as a Key Club Administrator, to the rally to assist the officers
in the operation of the rally. He encouraged participation in
the District and International conventions and gave details about

sports is usual smile as he discussed Key Club business.
Division 9 Key Club members were delighted to have
Mima Johnson, Key Club Governor of the Kentucky-Tennessee
District from Sullivan Central High School Key Club. Here she
