EXPLANATION OF ABOVE POINT SYSTEM

PROMPT FILING OF OFFICIAL MONTHLY REPORT: (MAXIMUM 10)

Ten (10) points if report is postmarked by the 10th of the month or before.
11th - 9 points, 12th - 8 points, 13th - 7 points, 14th - 6 points, 15th - 5 points
16th - 4 points, 17th - 3 points, 18th - 2 points, 19th - 1 point, 20th or later - 0 point

ALL REPORTS WILL BE GRADED WHEN RECEIVED

MEMBERSHIP:

10 points if membership is UNCHANGED
(base for + or -)
-1 point for each member LOST each month
+2 points for each member ADDED each month

ATTENDANCE: (MAXIMUM 10)

If attendance section of report is filled out and averages 50% or more.

PROGRAMS: (MAXIMUM 12)

One Program per month ­ 6 points
Two Programs per month ­ 12 points

Grading of Monthly Reports

INTER-CLUBS MADE: (MAXIMUM 8)
Four (4) points given for the first inter-club listed made to another club, with four (4) points added for two or more inter-club meetings. If a club travels at least 50 miles one way for an inter-club it may be counted as eight (8) points. The maximum is 8 points. One of the meetings could be with Builders, K-Kids, Key or Circle K Clubs. No points given for another club visiting your club. Information given will be used to automatically enter your club in the Inter-Club contest.

SPIRITUAL VALUES: (MAXIMUM 10)
Ten (10) points will be given for the club activity listed resulting from projects initiated by the Committee on Spiritual Values. DO NOT LIST INVOCATIONS BEFORE MEALS OR CHURCH ACTIVITIES OF INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS. List only completed activities in a short, concise statement, no explanations needed. DO NOT list committee meetings or committee plans as credit will be given only for completed projects. Do not say "Continuing Project" - credit cannot be given unless project is completed.

YOUTH SERVICES: (MAXIMUM 10)
Ten (10) points will be given for a youth service activity listed. (This includes any youth related activities. Only one activity with Builders, K-Kids, Key or Circle K Clubs may be counted per month) List only completed activities in a short, concise statement, no explanations needed. DO NOT list committee meetings or committee plans as credit will be given only for completed projects. Do not say "Continuing Project" - credit cannot be given unless project is completed.

COMMUNITY SERVICES: (MAXIMUM 10)
Ten (10) points will be given for a community service activity listed - maximum of 10 points. (This includes all service projects other than Youth, Spiritual Values and Builders, K-Kids, Key or Circle K activities) List only completed activities in a short, concise statement, no explanations needed. DO NOT list committee meetings or committee plans as credit will be given only for completed projects. Do not say "Continuing Project" - credit cannot be given unless project is completed.

YOUNG CHILDREN PRIORITY ONE: (MAXIMUM 10)
Ten (10) points will be given for a YCPO project activity listed - maximum of 10 points. The Spiritual Values, Youth Services or Community Services may initiate the project. A project may be counted in only one place. List only completed activities in a short, concise statement, no explanations needed. DO NOT list committee meetings or committee plans as credit will be given only for completed projects. Do not say "Continuing Project" - credit cannot be given unless project is completed.

DEFINITION OF AN ACTIVITY
"ACTIVITY" has been defined by Kiwanis International as a planned project consistent with the objects, objectives and policies of Kiwanis International sponsored by a Kiwanis Club for the benefit of an individual, a group of individuals, or the community of the nation. Activities of an individual NOT DONE AS A CLUB SPONSORED PROJECT cannot count as a club activity.
For purposes of grading there is no distinction between a large and a small activity.
