CLUB PROJECTS

Beattyville, KY - Participated in Relay for Life. Donated for Beattyville Cloth Panels. Kiwanis Park developments - Community Center, Amphitheatre, Baseball Field ($130). Assist with PeeWee Ball Practices. Evaluated scholarship applications and make scholarship presentations. Participate in All Sports Banquet. ($1,536). Members participated in Hospice, Hospital board, and Health Department Meetings. Worked with Children's Ceramics Classes.

Berea, KY - Picked up trash on two miles of highway. Contributed $150 to the Boys and Girls Club of Berea.

Clark County, KY - Provided election officers, Red Cross Volunteers, Comprehension Planning Officers, Junior Miss Director, Sunday School Teachers - and donated $100 to the AA Pregnancy Center.

Fleming County, KY - No Report

Irvine-Ravenna, KY - Eight Kiwanians worked in the local Relay for Life and contributed $200. Thomas Shaun Horn received the club's $1,000 scholarship award at the Estill County High School graduation ceremonies, Contributed $250 to the local Girl Scout troop. Arranged for four local churchs to particapate in a week of prayer from May 16, to 23. Three club members read to three pre-school classes in elementary schools.

Jackson County, KY - Provided a new backstop at the Little League Kiwanis Park. Also repaired and painted at the park. Also completed fence repairs. Worked for four nights a week at the Little League Games and Concession stand. ($2,000). Provided a $300 scholarship to the outstanding senior at Jackson County High School.

Morehead, KY - No Report

Mt. Sterling, KY - Participated in Relay for Life, Parked cars at Montgomery County High School Prom, Fed 95 staff members at McNaab Middle School, Fed 85 staff members at MSE; Contributed to the Council for the Arts, Contributed to the American Legion ($1,940). Contributed to the McNabb Soccer Team, Contributed to FBLA, Contributyed to 4-H, Contributed to the After Prom Party, Bought shoes for needy children ($970). Distributed magazines and flowers to both the hospitals and the nursing homes. Memorial to the American Legion ($100). Sponsored a Child Care Program, Contributed to the Family Resource Center at Camargo and Contributed to Library $1,350 Also sponsored Builders and Key Clubs.

Owingsville, KY - Donated to fire victim, Radio Spots for Relay for Life, bought Scoop Stretcher for Ambulance Service ($400). Provided Nursing home visits and sponsored radio spots for churches and volunteerism. Bought books for six elementary school boys for awards day ($57.24).

Powell County, KY - No Report

Richmond, KY - Supported Pattie A. Clay Hospital Ball, Participated in the Eggstravaganza ($50), Provided $200 funding for Friends of the Boy Scouts, Published newspaper ad encouraging attendance at church of choice ($24), Provided 14 car seats to new parents needing seats. Installation and video instructions on use was included ($560).

Winchester, KY - The club competed the Buck-a-Month project. Read books as part of Story Line at the Library and contributed $$50.79 toward that project.

Wolfe County, KY - Supported the Relay for Life with Survivor T-Shirts for those surviving from cancer ($100). Spiritual program by Sister Noreen about her 29 years as a missionary in Papua New Guinea.
