Gov. Elect for 2004-2005 (Lt. Gov. for 2005-2006). A separate letter was mailed to all presidents and secretaries. Reservations are due to Bob Brinkmann at 931-728-0652 by Monday, April 12.

Key Club News Division 1E was well represented at the Key Club District Convention held on March 26-28 in Louisville, KY. Among the honors: Nathan Foster from Coffee County CHS won the improptu essay contest. Kendra Tosh, also from the Coffee County CHS Key Club won the K-T District Key Clubber of the Year award. Dena Ashworth from the Blackman High Key Club was elected Lt. Governor for Division 1. We can be proud of these and all our Key Club members. Congratulations go out to each of our Key Clubbers and to all the Key Clubs and their Kiwanis sponsoring clubs in our division for a great Key Club year in Division 1. We currently have 7 Key Clubs in our division and one more in the works. Franklin County should have one at Franklin County chartered by next year.

Skip-a-Meal The Kiwanis International Foundation is again sponsoring Skip-A-Meal this month. The dates are April 25 to May 1. Each club is encouraged to participate as a club or as individuals. All you have to do is to volunteer to skip one meal during that week and donate the cost for that meal to your club to send in to KIF. The monies will be used to award scholarships and to help other children's programs during the year. Let's have all clubs in Division 1E participate this year. I know we can all skip a meal without hurting ourselves. And the KIF can use the money. Sign up today.

89TH Annual Kiwanis International Convention It's not too late to make your plans to attend the 89th Kiwanis International Convention in St. Louis on June 26-29, 2004. St. Louis is close enough to drive. So now is the time to start getting your car pool together. And you don't want to miss Willie Nelson performing on Sunday night. Next year the convention will be in Hawaii. So be thinking about taking that dream vacation then.
