Division Council Meeting - The last Division Council Meeting was held Tuesday, January 20, at 6:00 p.m. with the Tullahoma Club at Western Sizzlin, 630 N. Jackson. The program was of interest to all clubs in our division. Robin Matlock was our speaker. She is involved as an audiologist and works with hearing impaired people. She gave us an insight into possible programs that your club could be involved with. We were pleased to have 6 clubs attend this Division Council Meeting. Our next Division Council Meeting will be April 15 with the Manchester Club. See you at the next Division Council meeting when we formally elect Lt. Gov. Elect Bob Brinkmann as our Lt. Gov. for 2004-2005 and elect our new Division 1E Lt. Gov. Elect for 2004-2005 (Lt. Gov. for 2005-2006).

District News - It is with heavy heart that I tell you that Dorothy Bishop, wife of immediate past Governor Asa, passed away recently. She had bravely battled cancer the last two years. Please keep Asa and the rest of his family in your prayers. Last week Governor Wayne fell on ice and broke his ankle. He is recovering at his sister's house after surgery.

Mid-Year Conference - The K-T District Kiwanis Mid-Year Conference will be March 5-7, 2004 at the Four Points Sheraton in Lexington, KY. If you haven't registered yet you missed the early bird special registration, but you can still register. Don't wait; register now. This is a great time to renew friendships with fellow District Kiwanians and to keep up with how the district is doing. You can also take advantage of several educational opportunities. See you at the Mid-Year Conference.

89TH Annual Kiwanis International Convention - It's not too early to be thinking about attending the 89th Kiwanis International Convention in St. Louis on June 26-29, 2004. St. Louis is close enough to drive. So now is the time to start getting your car pool together. And you don't want to miss Willie Nelson performing on Sunday night. Next year the convention will be in Hawaii. So be thinking about taking that dream vacation then.
