End of Year We are all fast approaching the end of the administration year and school is back in full swing. Be sure that your Sponsored Youth programs are starting up and running o.k. You have only one month left on the 2003-2004 year. Be sure that you have completed all the projects that you set out to do. Check your membership. Do you need one or two more members to finish the year? How are you doing on making Distinguished Club? If you have any questions, email me or give me a call. We had five clubs to make Distinguished for last year. Will your club be one of those this year? Don't miss out through negligence. Make sure your club is doing and getting credit for all that it does. Due date to District for Distinguished Club nominations is October 10. So please get your monthly reports in early for September.

Division Club Update We are glad to say that it looks like Warren County has turned the corner and is on the upswing. They have successfully completed a fundraiser and have added new members. Way to go. However, White County has experienced some serious setbacks. Their membership is dangerously low and they are having serious doubts about their survival chances. Let's hope that they will be able to rebound.

Governor's Visit I know this is 2004-2005 Lt. Gov. Bob Brinkmann's concern, but I want to be sure that you all know and reserve the date. Gov. C. D. Reese will make his official visit to Division 1 on Tuesday, November 2, 2004. That is election night, but with early voting that should not be a problem for people to attend. It will again be at the Manchester Coffee County Conference Center, just off I-24 at exit 114. There will be a Div Council Meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. This is your chance to elect the Lt. Gov. Elect for 2005-2006. The banquet will follow at 6:30 p.m. The cost is again $25.00 per person. Please make every effort to make this event and show off Division 1 to our new governor. Dress for the occasion is Sunday dress. Wearing of Hixsons and other awards is encouraged. See you there.

90th Annual Kiwanis International Convention The 90th Kiwanis International Convention will be in Honolulu, Hawaii July 2-6, 2005. The last date to get reduced package deals from Incontra, Inc. is Sept 30th. If interested, contact them by email at incontra@aol.com or call at 800-338-7673 or fax at 317-872-0502. Hope to see you there.
