Visitors Present: Bud Lane, Mark Garman, Orville Threlkeld, and Kayla Duncan.
The meeting was called to order at 3:30pm by Governor B. Wayne Sullivan.
Bob Keats moved we adopt the minutes as printed. David Duncan seconded the motion. Motion was approved.
During a discussion of the realignment of divisions, the following
statements were made:
*Martin Kiwanis Club needs to be moved into Division 8. Move Martin
Kiwanis Club from Division 16.
*Fleming County Kiwanis Club does not want to move from Division
9.
*Glasgow Kiwanis Club and Trigg County Kiwanis Club do not want
to move from Division 14.
David Duncan made the motion that the clubs that have been discussed
remain in the divisions. Jerry Poole seconded the motion. Motion
passed with 14 in favor and 6 opposed.
Hugh Prevost moved that we develop a process of appeal for clubs that do not want to be moved out of current division. Bob Keats seconded the motion. Motion approved with one No.
Governor Wayne asked for volunteers to develop this process of appeal. Hugh Prevost and Asa O. Bishop, Jr. volunteered. It was stated that it is a Policy and Procedure issue.
David Duncan made the motion that we accept a decree to attribute outstanding performance to B. Wayne Sullivan as Governor 2003-2004. It was duly seconded and passed with a standing ovation.
Bud Lane reported that the Finance Committee recommended approval of the Visa Credit Card issued through Central Bank & Trust Company with a $5,000 maximum credit line. An interoffice voucher must be signed by both Fran Marion and Carolyn Blair to charge a purchase of $1,000 or more on this credit card. Tommy Brown made the motion that the credit card be approved. Dwaine Beck seconded the motion. Motion approved.
Mark Garman reported about the District Foundation
Governor Wayne Sullivan introduced Circle K Governor James Hobbs, who had joined our meeting.
